Passed it again, huh. I keep losing track... wonder if it's a good thing.

Hey, so... does anybody have a particular day - or more than one, I guess - that means something to them? Not their birthday or a holiday or anything like that, I mean a regular, normal day where something important or significant happened to them. Could be good or bad, whatever.

[Zack's in a weird mood today, for... various reasons. He's also lounging in the hammock outside House 50, enjoying it while he can before the cold weather forces him to take it down, so if you happen to be in the area, feel free to bother him that way instead.]

Good or bad?

Decidedly good... the day I met Lord Tir.

He was our leader during the Gate Rune War.

Ahh. Yeah, that does sound pretty significant. Were you nervous to meet him?

Very much so. I had traveled a great distance and faced many hardships for a chance to finally speak with him and ask him to aid our village.

That's really cool. I kind did that too, once! I traveled for a long time to join the army so I could meet my hero, maybe even become one myself. It feels really rewarding, doesn't it?

In many ways it was. Lord Tir became an inspiration to me.

I have not.

Well, he's around here somewhere. He was my hero when I was growing up! I wanted to be like him someday. And my mentor back in SOLDIER was really amazing too- I learned a lot from both of them.

You seem very fortunate to have such influences, Sir Zack.

Yeah, I think it changed me a lot. Important people know how to do that- guess that's what makes them important to each person who thinks that way about 'em.
