Passed it again, huh. I keep losing track... wonder if it's a good thing.

Hey, so... does anybody have a particular day - or more than one, I guess - that means something to them? Not their birthday or a holiday or anything like that, I mean a regular, normal day where something important or significant happened to them. Could be good or bad, whatever.

[Zack's in a weird mood today, for... various reasons. He's also lounging in the hammock outside House 50, enjoying it while he can before the cold weather forces him to take it down, so if you happen to be in the area, feel free to bother him that way instead.]

[Ahh, they're both dummies in their own way. Zack grins, relieved that they're at least talking about it.] Probably for the best anyway. We both got a chance to relax and get it mostly out of our systems, right? I'm okay if you are.

Yeah, I'm fine. [Not really -probably not until he figures out what he wants more, stability or...whatever else- but Zack didn't have to know that.]

...You wanna stick around for a while? [He could use the company.]

Sure. ...I mean. If...you want me to, yeah.

[Zack wordlessly shoves over. Room enough for two on the hammock, and they don't even have to cuddle. Please?]

[Deja vu. ...this time, though, Cloud gingerly climbs in; the hammock sways and creaks, but thankfully Cloud is not the behemoth Zack is or they might've had problems. It's still kind of close-quarters though, and Cloud lays there like a dead fish for a minute.]

[Zack gives his hair a playful little ruffle, smiling gratefully, then lifts the journal.] So? Care to contribute?

[Cloud's eyes move over the entry before his eyes just dull, and he remembers something he'd rather not.] ...not really.

[Zack watches his expression, then lowers the journal, lowering his head.] ...Me either. [Wondering if Cloud remembers the same days he does.]

[He remembers the burning of Nibelheim, but he obviously doesn't remember the escape. ...as depressing as it is, though, it makes Cloud forget to be awkward and he just relaxes, hands folded over his stomach.

After a bit he sighs heavily, and toes off his boots to kick them over the side of the net.] It's not like you to...well, act like me. You all right?

[Zack sighs faintly, leaning back and lacing his hands together behind his head.] ...Dunno. Guess some things are just sorta weighing on me. It happens sometimes.

[Cloud lifts his head and rests it on Zack's arm to avoid being elbowed in the face.] ...want to talk about it?

[Zack makes a vague sound that could really be taken either way, scratching his nose.] ...Probably shouldn't. [It'd just make them both upset anyway.]

...yeah, probably not. [Oh well. ...maybe he should distract Zack?

...oh God conversation. INITIATING CONVERSATION. Okay, he can do this.] ...uhhh, so. ...Red came by the other day. He was scaring Tammy, though.

...Who scared Tammy!? [WHO WAS BOTHERING HIS BABY AAAHHHH]

Red. [Cloud taps Zack chidingly on the chest with the back of his knuckles.] And he didn't do it on purpose, he just startled her.

[...Uh.] Remind me again who Red is?

Nanaki. [...no recognition. Cloud takes Zack's journal and flips it back to Red's entry a while ago.] Him. Traveled with the rest of AVALANCHE to stop Sephiroth.

...Oh! Right, one of your buds. Didn't realize he was a lion. Is that why he was in Tammy's barn?

He's not a lion, he's a...something. But he went in there because he didn't want to impose and ask to come inside.

[Yeah that does sound weird.] ...So in other words, you and him get along just great.

Yeah. [Cloud turns to regard Zack carefully.] ...he was another one of Hojo's playthings.

[...Oh, geez.] There's way too many of us wandering around. Damn scientists...

He's all right. He's pretty grounded, so...he came out of it okay, I think. [Despite his occasionally hiccups of nervousness, but who the fuck can blame him considering the company he keeps?]
