Aw, man, that was actually a kinda cool experiment the Malnosso had going, this time. At least for me, it was. But I'm glad it's over, for the sake of the people who weren't having a good time with it.

It was nice to see Angeal again, though.

This is why I propose the construction of new housing. The barracks comes first, of course, but...

I'm game. I think some new houses would do us some good, and maybe having a project to work on would help keep people from getting bored around here.

As I said, my first priority is setting up a barracks, for practical purposes and to serve as a training facility. ...Not to mention that it would prove invaluable in the event of truly horrid weather if we build it right. I've already assigned a man to the foundations, actually, and I've just recently completed the blueprints proper.

I like the idea of having a public shelter. Cloud told me that Simon was working on digging a few underground shelters and I still have no idea how the kid works so damned fast but at the rate the population's growing, they won't hold everybody. We'd need a big open area to start building it, though. D'you have a place in mind?

I gotta admit I'm not much of a builder, but I'm good for heavy lifting and I'm not afraid of hard work. I'd be glad to help any way I can.

Ah, yes, actually. An associate of mine located an ideal location on the village side of the mountain. It's both got the practical space and it is defensible no matter how I look at it. Well... barring perhaps drag-- hn. What we really could use though is a clear path over it... but that waits until the structure is actually built, of course. I fear I'm too used to working with what's around, actually building lasting things is alien to me.

We'd need a good supply to build something big enough for this. Sounds like the first job is collecting the materials.

How about concrete and stuff? Do the Luceti shops have that or will we have to work around it? ... I wish I knew more about building myself. I'm more of a fighter than anything.

And yes, we will. I understand Walter previously used stones that he salvaged from the lake bed and from the mountains for a previous project, but I don't think something on this sort of thing could rely on something so hap=hazard. If we were to find or create a good quarry or--

Ex-military, to be exact. There's a couple of us from the same group here in Luceti.

Concrete? Uhhh, it's sort of a clay/rock mixture, I think... starts off like dust, but if you mix it with water just right it turns into a nice hard base for houses and such. sort of like stone but you can work with it more easily.

Ah, the story sounds somewhat similar to ~~Sir Strif-~~ Cloud's.

Yes, I think it would... and after you've checked, perhaps I could show you the site? The man I have there already has been gathering materials, but he is stressing that for the construction he'll need all the help he can get.

Like I said, I'd be happy to help. I think it's a great idea, and to be honest, I'm not doing much else around here. It'd be good to contribute a little.
