Passed it again, huh. I keep losing track... wonder if it's a good thing.

Hey, so... does anybody have a particular day - or more than one, I guess - that means something to them? Not their birthday or a holiday or anything like that, I mean a regular, normal day where something important or significant happened to them. Could be good or bad, whatever.

[Zack's in a weird mood today, for... various reasons. He's also lounging in the hammock outside House 50, enjoying it while he can before the cold weather forces him to take it down, so if you happen to be in the area, feel free to bother him that way instead.]

Mmm. [Cloud relaxes just a bit, looks like he'd like to say something, but shifts his weight uncomfortably before turning, intent on heading inside the house.]

[Oi. There's a hand grabbing the back of your shirt.] Cloud, hold on.

[Cloud jerks to a halt and glances back over his shoulder. He looks almost wary.] Um, yeah?

[Zack doesn't let go, though he's relieved Cloud doesn't fight him. He manages another smile.] I'm sorry.

[Bzuh.] ...what?

I'm sorry for rushing you. I guess I got kind of excited and forgot you hadn't decided yet.

[Oh Holy, Zack. How can you talk so bluntly about this kind of thing?]

It...it's fine. I guess I...kind of led you on. Anyway.

[He's an up-front kind of guy, Cloud, you should be used to it by now.]

...Well, maybe just a little. [A lot, actually. Still hurts. But he doesn't want Cloud to avoid him because of it.]

[OH relief.] Sooo...you're not angry with me any more?

[...And the laugh filters off, as Zack blinks at that.] You thought I was mad?

[Auuugh, Cloud, man.] Well, I guess I can see how you'd think that. I did kiss you first, though, and I can't blame you for kissing me back. I'm just that irresistible.

[Zack.] So then how come you were avoiding me, if you weren't angry at me?

Avoiding you? [Was he avoiding him...?] I figured we'd be awkward, so I gave us both some space. Just because I wasn't mad doesn't mean it didn't affect me. [And I was waiting to see if you'd apologize but ignoring the problem is more your style.]

[Ahh, they're both dummies in their own way. Zack grins, relieved that they're at least talking about it.] Probably for the best anyway. We both got a chance to relax and get it mostly out of our systems, right? I'm okay if you are.

Yeah, I'm fine. [Not really -probably not until he figures out what he wants more, stability or...whatever else- but Zack didn't have to know that.]

...You wanna stick around for a while? [He could use the company.]

Sure. ...I mean. If...you want me to, yeah.

[Zack wordlessly shoves over. Room enough for two on the hammock, and they don't even have to cuddle. Please?]
