Hey, so... does anybody have a particular day - or more than one, I guess - that means something to them? Not their birthday or a holiday or anything like that, I mean a regular, normal day where something important or significant happened to them. Could be good or bad, whatever.


[Zack's in a weird mood today, for... various reasons. He's also lounging in the hammock outside House 50, enjoying it while he can before the cold weather forces him to take it down, so if you happen to be in the area, feel free to bother him that way instead.]

Yeah, back in July. The date' a bit variable on this calender we're using here.

Yeah, it's kind of weird, though I'm used to it by now. It was December on my world when I left, but when I showed up in Luceti it was November. We're all sort of time-travelers, huh!

Well, we kinda just decided on the months here 'cus the seasons are pretty similar to Earth's. So it's not so much time warping as just giving familiar titles to an unfamiliar place.

I dunno, actually. I never went to school, and they didn't teach us that kind of stuff in the military. It's just a list of months to me- I don't know how anyone came up with 'em.

Not really. I was mostly home-schooled, and I'm not suited for that sort of stuff. I'd probably sleep through half the classes, or cause too much of a distraction- I get restless if I have to sit around for too long.

Hey, nowadays it doesn't even have power. Back then it was pretty advanced compared to what it's become.

The mako reactor exploded a few years ago. The power company just never bothered to fix it- at least, that's what I heard, anyway.

It's a natural chemical on my world that's used for pretty much everything. Power, magic, even people use it for themselves sometimes.

Why not? I mean the thing apparently is a universal power source. I mean I can get if people get negative reactions to it in terms of personal exposure, but the plants have to be a godsend depending on the emissions it gives of.
