Never thought I'd be so happy to see a heat wave hit this place. I'm just glad to say goodbye to the rain. I've had enough of that to last a couple of months at the very least.

[Action-wise, Zack is out and about around the house during the day, relaxing and getting used to not cleaving things in two when startled. It's amazing how dramatically one's behaviour can change in war. Still, it's been long enough, and he's cool enough with his state of mind to get back to work. Thus, the next few days he'll be spending his evenings at Good Spirits, feeling - once again - right at home. Bother him at will, as usual.

Hey, Shizuo! When the heck are you coming back to work? You've missed like three weeks worth of shifts already!

[Oddly enough, she rather likes being called boss. Even if it isn't serious, it does make her feel a little important. Which she never gets here, so it's sorely missed.

[ Lightning does not like the heat. Fortunately, she's managing to keep from looking distinctly miserable, but with the amount of layers she usually wears highly reduced even inside the house and... her hair actually tied and clipped back for once, it's probably fairly obvious anyway.

That and the annoyed attitude... but this is Lightning.

Anyway, right now she's also commandeered the kitchen table with her gunblade and what seems to be a book on gunblades. Hope you weren't planning on using that? ]

[He hadn't made any table-using plans, but the gunblade has long been an object of great interest to him, even when Genesis copies were using them to shoot rockets at his head. They're pretty awesome weapons, though they're a little beyond his capabilities. Multitasking is not his strong spot.

[ The weapon itself is... not exactly dismantled, but clearly inactive and somewhere in-between 'sword' and 'gun' where it's laid out, all sorts of stuff spread everywhere around it- stuff that must have a hand in cleaning the thing, though Lightning's just sort of staring at it all in a state of mild frustration. ]

... Yeah. [ She looks up slowly after a short pause, dry in both demeanor and tone. ] Are you saying you don't?

Yeah, it's just a weird day. Sometimes it's like this a couple of days in a row, but it never lasts long. This place would probably look like a desert if it ever did.
