[Voice / Action] backdated a bit to the 13th. Action can be the 14th as well though.
Hey, Aerith! I think you owe me a story about Wall Market, huh? It's way overdue, even. I hope you're not hiding it on purpose!
...Oh, and while you're- actually, nevermind. I still want that story, though! You promised!
[Serious business can wait until they meet in person, anyway. It's better that way.]
Never thought I'd be so happy to see a heat wave hit this place. I'm just glad to say goodbye to the rain. I've had enough of that to last a couple of months at the very least.
[Action-wise, Zack is out and about around the house during the day, relaxing and getting used to not cleaving things in two when startled. It's amazing how dramatically one's behaviour can change in war. Still, it's been long enough, and he's cool enough with his state of mind to get back to work. Thus, the next few days he'll be spending his evenings at Good Spirits, feeling - once again - right at home. Bother him at will, as usual.
And later that day...]
Hey, Shizuo! When the heck are you coming back to work? You've missed like three weeks worth of shifts already!

"Dear Zack. The flower wagon broke the other day. I've been taking re-ally good care of it, but a few kids played around with it and got rough, and the wheel came off. I gave them a scolding for it, believe me!
But they're not bad. They were sorry about the flowers falling out, so I asked them to help me take care of the flowers today as apology. And you know what? They loved it. I've been thinking, a lot of kids who misbehave are really good, so why do they act that way? Maybe they just don't know the good they can do yet. It's up to us 'big kids' to help them find it.
This big girl has turned 18. People have said I should get a more 'serious' job, but I'm going to keep selling flowers. This is the most important job! Midgar full of flowers, wallet full of money. And maybe it will make some children happy too, because they can help something beautiful grow. Everyone likes to feel that they can be useful. And I like having a little help.
So I'm sorry about the wagon, but I'm glad I got to meet those kids. And it's not too bad, just a missing wheel. A big strong SOLDIER should be able to fix it no trouble at all, right? I'm keeping it safely put away for when you get back. In the meantime, I'll use a basket.
- Aerith."
...I was using a basket when I sold one to Cloud, actually. [She smiles a little, a bit amused about how stubborn she was about not using the wagon until Zack could fix it, even turning down another SOLDIER's offer to help.]

[Nudge-nudge at the box. Someone is a little impatient about this after five years. also Akai if you want any particular kind of letter (or a wrap-up?), I'm up for suggestions.]

But when the last letter is set aside, Zack leans back and stretches out on the couch, eyes closing.]
Man... that's a lot of memories to go through, Aerith. [He glances sidelong at her, suddenly concerned.] You okay? That was probably weird for you...
[It's not like he can share much of what he was up to all that time, but she lived those memories, and she hid a fair bit from him, too. Now that it's over he can't decide whether or not it was a good idea.]

Yeah, I'm fine. [She got quieter toward the end. Part of it was, of course, reading so much; another part of it was seeing the shift in the letters and remembering her feelings when writing them. There had always, always been hope that her letters meant something. But also a growing resignation to the fact that they might never get a response. And they never had back home. Getting closer to the end she'd started wishing there'd been just a few more letters, as if that would put off the conclusion to their story.
...But they're here. She can make a new conclusion, can't she? She leans a little more toward Zack, tapping her head on his shoulder.]
It was kind of funny reading them out loud, but I'm really glad you finally got to see them.

Kind of weird reading them now. I just...wanted you to know I was thinking of you then. Even after I stopped writing, I still thought about you. [She smiles.] You leave an impression on people. Must be the dramatic fall.

I don't mind the dramatics, then. I think there's nothing worse than just being forgotten!

You have eighty-eight letters here. I think you can rest easy.
