[Unintentional Voice Post]

[There is a sound of small feet bouncing on something springy and cushioned. After a moment, a loud, childish voice joins the noise.]

Five little cactuars bouncing on the bed~
One fell off and bumped his head~
Hmmm hmm hmmm~

.... Ummm... I dunno what's after that...

Four little cactuars bouncing on the bed!

[ooc: Zack's awake! And yes, he is also a child. Six years old to be exact. He is also jumping rather shamelessly on Cloud's bed.]

Mm hmm. Couldn't fight or anything; it made me so mad.

Man, I know! I couldn't even climb trees! I almost got eaten by a giant worm!

Luckily, I had some friends with me who looked after me until the spell wore off, so I never got almost-eaten. What was it like?

Scary! But Dad came and chased it off and took me home. He said he knew it was me because I was the funniest looking frog in the forest!

Did you have the same hair as before?

Ummm I dunno, I couldn't see myself!

[And Cloud is now at the doorway to his room, grateful that he'd kept Zack chatting long enough to ensure that he wouldn't run off while he was away.]

[Zack notices Cloud standing there, immediately setting aside the book and peering over from his spot cross-legged on the bed.]

Hi mister stranger! Are you Cloud?

[He wasn't really supposed to talk to strangers, but once they gave their name they wouldn't be strangers anymore, right?]

[And Cloud cannot help a grin. It was like Zack just shrunk, although thankfully his eyes were missing their usual vaguely haunted look.]

Yeah, that's me. Finding the place to your satisfaction?

Huh?

[Zack blinks at the long word, brows furrowing. Satiwhat? ...Oh well. He settles for giving the bed another solid bouncing.]

Ummm... your bed's bouncier than mine. And nobody yelled at me for doing it! I like it here!

Want me to show you to your own bed while you're here, and you can bounce on that one? [Not that Cloud was too worried; if Zack broke the beds, they'd probably just repair themselves like everything else. Still, if for some reason they didn't, it'd be nice to have a place to sleep that didn't cave in once he laid down.]

.... I get my own bed here too?!

[Zack gawks at him, amazed and thrilled. He bounced once more and crawled to the edge of the bed, ready to hop down at a moment's notice.]

That's really really cool!

Of course you get your own bed. [Cloud gives him an odd look.] Did you think I'd make you sleep on the floor?

[Zack curves his head to one side like a puppy being offered a treat from afar.[

No, but when I sleep over at Raz's house I gotta share his bed! I didn't know you had one for me!

[G-gah. Cute child is cute, and it is weird that it's Zack.]

Well, uh, we have a guest bedroom here, so you can have your own space. You don't have to share with anyone.

Th... that's so coooool! I gotta tell Mom about it when I get home!

[So happy over just a guest room. Cloud didn't know if it was just because that was simply Zack's nature, or if Gongaga was really that backwater.]

Well, c'mon; I'll show you where it is.

[Zack climbs down off the bed, scampering over and immediately latching on to Cloud's hand with a grin.]

Where is it? Where, where?!

[Oh Lord. Cloud was not used to this kind of hyper, but it was adorable. He will also never, ever ever say that to Zack's face, lest he suffer merciless teasing.] I'm going to show you, calm down.

[And he leads Zack down the hall to the guest bedroom -thank Holy they'd gotten one of the bigger houses- and shows him inside. It's pretty unremarkable; bed, nightstand, dresser, closet. Badda bing, that's it.]

Whoaaaa! I've never had a room this big!

[Zack hurries inside, skittering about like a hyperactive dog, poking and peering into everything he could. Before too long he was climbing back up on the bed and bouncing away.]

Wow, wow, cool!

[Cloud leans against the doorjamb, arms folded as he watches Zack with a quiet smile. He was sure that by the time ten o'clock rolled around and if Zack was still thrashing around with this amount of energy he probably wouldn't be smiling, but...

For now, it was endearing.]

I take it you like it.

Uh-huh! This one's even bouncier than yours! I really get to stay here for a whole week?!

Yep. [Cloud lifts a hand to pat the doorjamb.] For your whole week, this is "Zack's room."

[Zack makes a loud, childish WHOOP of joy and flops down on the bed, rolling around in the blankets and making a big mess of the bed in general. He halts after a moment, buried in a roll of material with only his head showing at the end, and grins at Cloud.]

Play with me!

[Smack. Cloud smacks his head against the doorjamb before drawing back and covering his eyes.

Child Zack is ridiculously cute.]
