[This again... in this instance, though, Zack doesn't mind making the announcement. Luke had given him some bad news recently and it really seems to be hitting him hard, so it wouldn't be fair for the poor guy to have to tell everyone else, as well. He's been through enough lately.]

Hey guys, just a head's up... Guy Cecil's been sent back to his world.

[And since he'd rather not dwell on the bad news-]

Since we've lost him again, Good Spirits - that's the local bar here, for anybody who hasn't visited the place - is still looking for a couple more staff members, if anybody's interested. Servers especially. The place is run by me, Buffy, Raven, and Nami right now, but it's always nice to have a few nights off, so some extra hands can make a big difference for us. Inquire within!

We're trying to expand the menu to include some finger food, too- nothing too complicated, just stuff that's easy for anybody to make. Suggestions would be awesome.

[She's been wanting to kind of wander about the bar and hopefully expand her knowledge of tasty alcohols. The ones she knows who drink always drink the stuff that tastes like acid death, so...yep. Besides! Lots of people pass through the bar - it might be fun, and a good chance to meet people!]

Only problem's that I'm a part-time kidsitter, too. Sooo...I dunno how often I'd be able to work, if that's okay?

[Luke had been tempted to actually try something alcoholic. It's be easier to forget, maybe. The fact that his best friend was gone again, that the only thing left behind was the Jewel of Gardios, which he cleaned and took care of to the best of his ability.

But guilt won out in the end, as well as the fact that there are some thing that happened recently that he does not want to forget. So instead, he sips on water. He'd rather get a milkshake, but... well. It's not like Luke can taste it, and he's sure a milkshake without taste just feels nasty.

After Zack makes the post, Luke looks up at him with a half smile.]

Thanks. I probably should've done it myself, but...

[Zack returns the smile, though he's obviously less beat up about it; he and Guy don't have the same history, so all he's really feeling right now is the lost potential of what might have been a regained friendship. Not the same thing by any means.]

Don't worry about it, Luke. You've had enough on your plate, and I didn't mind.

[...well. She supposes she can be thankful Luke came back before he vanished again. For Nami, she curiously feels very little, bar a certain emptiness.]

[ While she typically tries not to show or admit it, the heat of Luceti's July tends to make Lightning pretty damn miserable- even when the village isn't the middle of a heat wave. Sticking to her normal schedule is quite a bit more difficult when the sun is beating down constantly and the air itself seems oppressive, when it seems like her clothes and hair are trying their best to stick to her even when she's not doing anything remotely worth sweating over.

However, she's got much better ideas than moping around and fanning herself at home, which is why the woman eventually makes an appearance at the bar today. The sight of her isn't all that unusual by now, but this time she's got something more interesting than a stoic attitude for once-

A cooled watermelon held between her arm and side as she ducks in the door and turns to close it right away to keep the warmer air out.

She doesn't make a production of it, but she's also not all that subtle either, as she strolls up to the bar itself and sets the fruit down there. To what is probably nobody who has ever met her's surprise, she's also brought one hell of a knife along too, and wastes no time in looking for the best way to start slicing her haul. ]

[Pao-Lin's sitting at the bar trying to chase away the heat of the day with a strawberry milkshake when Lightning comes in and thunks that watermelon down nearby. The girl eyes the fruit contemplatively. Damn, that thing looks delicious; she hopes Lightning's going to share it. and hopefully won't shank Pao-Lin with that knife if she asks for a piece]

[Zack lifts a brow at the combination of her appearance, the watermelon, and the knife, but rather than commenting immediately, he leans his elbow on the bar counter to watch her work with interest.

Man, that's rough. I don't even know the guy, but it feels like you're announcing a departure whenever you pop up on this thing.

[Buuut it's been a while since she's said hi. She doesn't want to dwell on bad news, either.] Um, how about fruit sandwiches? I had a friend who really liked those.

Noel seemed excited about wanting to help out with the bar. He's no expert on drinking, but hey. There's nothing wrong with wanting to help someone in need. ]

[Ikki is familiar with the bar, he drops by fairly often. In fact during a long month he basically spent all his time there, getting drunk from when they opened to when they closed... Or to when Smoker came in to drag him back home, whatever happened first. Honestly he has never really cared about the bar besides that it was there and people were serving drinks, but today he must have a fever or something because when he hears this he actually wonders about if he should offer to help.]

Do you require experience at the other side of the bar counter or does experience as a customer work?

Well... if you were going to become a bartender, you'd have to know how to mix the drinks, yeah. But you could always start as a server and learn on the job.

I'd offer to help, but I might be a little too young for it. 'Course, I don't know what kinda standards you guy set for your workers.

As for finger foods... what about stuff like fish sticks? Or maybe takoyaki. My friend Minako introduced me to it, and it's really good.
